Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello says the National Hajji Commission of Nigeria,(NAHCON) has been repositioned for effective service delivery.
He stated this when a team from NAHCON led by the Chairman, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan paid him a visit in Abuja.
Mallam Musa Bello said the Hajj Savings Scheme is the way forward due to its multiple advantages especially to the rural populace.
The FCT Minister, while thanking the NAHCON management for the visit, stressed the need for the Commission to collaborate with State Pilgrims Welfare Boards and other Critical Stakeholders on Hajj matters.
Responding, The Chairman of NAHCON, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, said the visit was to brief the Minister on the Commission’s activities so far.
He enumerated some of the activities to include implementation of the Hajj Savings Scheme, Establishment of a Hajj Training Institute, Digital Transformation drive, expansion of the Commission’s internally Generated Revenue and Staff welfare.
He further sought the Minister’s support to look into NAHCON’S land application tendered since 2017 through the Commission’s Cooperative society.
