Primate, Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba has called on Fathers to be role models and take their rightful positions in leading their homes for a better society.
Addressing the Congregation at Saint James Anglican Church Asokoro, Abuja on this year’s Fathering Sunday, Most Reverend Ndukuba emphasized the need for fathers to remain focused and depend on God for provision during the present Global Economic Meltdown.
While Condemning the high negative use of social media especially by Youths, the Anglican Primate appealed to fathers to teach their Children the word of God.
The Primate who described fathers as convenant connectors stressed that God will ask them if they performed their roles diligently in their families.
Also speaking, the minister of Mines and Steel Development Mr Uchechukwu Ogah reminded fathers of the need to love their Children and support their wives for proper upbringing of their Children.
The Service featured special renditions from Children and mothers as well as prayers for homes that are experiencing challenges.
