Exec Sec NCPC Condemns Looting, Vandalism In Plateau State

The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission, Rev Yakubu Pam has condemned the looting that took place in parts of Plateau State following the ENDSARS protest, describing it as a major setback to the development of the State.

Reverend Pam, who stated this after inspecting some public and private property that were vandalised noted that such should not be allowed to happen again, stressing that the excuse that people were hungry hence the looting was unacceptable.

He said public property belonged to the citizens and should be guarded and protected at all times and called for proper investigation into the incident.

He expressed regret over the incident and lauded Security operatives and Traditional leaders for their role in ensuring that the incident is brought under control.

In their various remarks, Management committee Chairman of Riyom Mafweng Gwalson, Jos South, Yohanna Choji as well as the Secretary of Jos North Solomon Sanda expressed deep concern over the looting that took place in their Local Government Areas and thanked the Executive Secretary for the visit.

Places visited were the Head quarters of Riyom, Jos North , Jos South, National Cereal Research Institute, the Road Maintenance Agency, North Central office of the National Emergency Management Agency, Plateau Agricultural Development Agency and personal residence of the former Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara.
