Ex-APGA Presidential Candidate Wants Youths To Brace Up For A United Nig

The Former Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Retired Major General John Gbor has called on Nigerian youths to be in the vanguard of ensuring a united and prosperous Nigeria.

Retired Major General Gbor made the call in Abuja while receiving the award of Okupe of Niger Deltans from an NGO, United Niger Delta Forum.

The former APGA Presidential Candidate who described youths as the strength of any nation expressed concern over the involvement of some youths in issues threatening the corporate existence of the country.

While frowning over challenges confronting Nigerian youths, Retired Major General Gbor stressed the need for them to always engage in positive ventures that would contribute to national development

He also called for more enabling environment by government at all levels that would enable youths realize their dreams.

Retired Major General Gbor also enjoined all Nigerians irrespective of political, religion and tribal differences to be united towards actualizing the dreams of the nation’s founding fathers.

According to him, no country could develop in atmosphere of crises and violence.

He emphasized the need for political office holders in the country to shun corruption and work towards tackling security challenges threatning the progress and peaceful coexistence of Nigeria.

Presenting the award, the President of United Niger Delta Forum, Comrade Ese Oghenovo said the gesture was in recognition of the laudable humanitarian programmes of Retired Major General John Gbor through his Foundation.

He therefore pledged the Forum’s support to his activities towards improving the well being of Nigerians and enhance the progress of the country.
