Ex-APGA Presidential Candidate Wants Nigs To Unite Against Insecurity

A former Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Retired Major General John Gbor wants all Nigerians irrespective of tribe, religion or political differences to unite against insecurity bedeviling the country.

Retired Major General Gbor made the call in Abuja while receiving an Award from the Oodua Youths Parliament, OYP

The former APGA Presidential Candidate who expressed concern over the state of insecurity in the country also called for genuine unity and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians to ensure continuous corporate existence and development of the country.

He urged all Nigerians to always love one another towards realizing the dreams of the nation’s founding fathers.

According to him, no nation can develop in an atmosphere devoid of security and peaceful coexistence.

The Retired Major General equally stressed the need for all politicians to always place the development of Nigeria above personal and selfish ambition.

While describing youths as very crucial to the success of Project Nigeria, Retired Major General Gbor advised them to always think Nigeria and avoid been used by selfish politicians in dividing the country along religious or ethnic lines.

“I want to appeal to you youths and Nigerians in general to put away ethnicity and all divisive tendencies and unite ourselves into one solid nation as Nigerians therefore we must rid ourselves of tribalism while the champions of ethnicity must sheath their swords to allow peace and unity to prevail” Retired Major General Gbor explained

The former Presidential Candidate of APGA therefore expressed the hope that Nigeria would soon overcome her challenges and take her rightful place among comity of nations.

Earlier, the Speaker of Oodua Youths Parliament, Abdulmajeed Oyeniyi said the award was in recognition of the humanitarian and selfless services of Retired Major General Gbor through his foundation.

He therefore promised the Group’s continuous support to Retired Major General Gbor to enable him succeed in his activities.

Highlights of the event was the presentation and decoration of Retired Major General John Gbor as Peace Ambassador and Mayegun of Oodua Youths Parliament.
