The National Assembly has been urged to urgently reconvene for an emergency session to discuss the alleged killings of peaceful protesters in different parts of the Country.
The Young Parliamentarians Forum, YPF made the call while addressing newsmen in Abuja on the ongoing protests across the Country over police brutality and the need for good governance.
Speaking on behalf of the Forum, the Chairman a member of the House of Representatives from Kebbi State, Kabir Tukura while condemning the killings stressed the need for both chambers to reconvene and find a lasting solution to the unrest.
The forum also advised the Federal Government to demonstrate commitment by reforming the Police, ending the lingering ASUU strike as well as providing one year tuition fees palliative for students as compensation.
While sympathising with families of the victims, the forum also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to address the Nation as a matter of urgency.
