Citizens of Kogi State have been enjoined to utilize various opportunities provided in the agricultural sector to be self sufficient and contribute to growth of the nation.
The Governor made the call while speaking with newsmen after observing the two raakat Eid prayer at the Agassa Eid Praying ground in Okene, Kogi State.
Alhaji Bello reiterated that government would not relent in bringing about improvement in governance, hence the need for youths to key in.
According to him, government was in partnership with investors and NNPC in establishing a bio fuel plant in Kogi capable of generating massive wealth and employment for youths in the state.
He appreciated security personnel for their efforts in ensuring peace and security across the country and the state in particular.
Alhaji Bello called on citizens to be law abiding and provide useful information to security operatives that would help apprehend criminal elements.
He advised travellers transiting the state to be safety conscious and avoid travelling particularly at night. .
While felicitating with Muslims on the occasion of Eid El Adha, Alhaji Bello implored them to celebrate peacefully and play their roles as citizens to ensure safety of lives and property.
Also speaking after delivering his sermon, Chief Imam of Agassa, Salihu Adinoyi Suleiman admonished Muslims to adhere strictly to teachings of Islam and be tolerant as the religion abhors violence, oppression, indiscipline and other vices.
