The Federal Government has been urged to continue to partner State Governments in the quest to revamp technical education in the country.
The Provost, College of Education Technical Kabba, Mrs Victoria Jagboro made the call in an interview with Newsmen in Kabba, Kogi State.
Mrs Jagboro said the call became imperative as technical education is the bedrock of technological advancement of any nation.
She also called for more funding, provision of infrastructural facilities as well as support from donor agencies towards achieving set goals in the education sector.
According to her, Kogi State Government had invested greatly in the institution to ensure full accreditation of all courses offered in the School, provided instructional materials and personnel to make it self sustaining.
The Provost appealed for partnership from relevant educational institutions, Non Governmental Organisations and Corporate Organisations to enable the State Government realise its goals of establishing the College.
She said part of her achievements in the last four years was an increase in number of students, ongoing construction of lecture theatres, setting up of fish ponds among other things to increase the internally generated revenue, IGR, of the institution aimed at making it a world class College of Education Technical.
The Provost who acknowledged the unflinching support of Governor Yahaya Bello to the institution, assured of bringing her expertise to bear in the discharge of her official duties.
