The Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA says the apparent lack of unity in the fight against terrorist groups and inability of Government to deal with them decisively has emboldened the terrorists to do more harm.

ECWA President, Reverend Stephen Panya- Baba stated this while addressing Journalists in Jos.

Reverend Panya- Baba said the attempted assassination of Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State amounts to introducing another very dangerous dimension to the security challenge, which if not properly handled can threaten the corporate existence of the Country.

He commended the decision of Security Agencies to thoroughly investigate the assassination attempt and expressed the hope that measures will be taken to unravel those behind the attack and begin the process of rebuilding the long deteriorated trust between Government and the People.

Reverend Panya- Baba called for all Mission Schools to be returned to their owners without any grant noting that parents who choose to enroll their children and wards must abide by the established rules and regulations of the Schools

While applauding the urgency that the Federal Government made for the rescue of several Children in Zamfara, Kastina and Niger States, Reverend Panya- Baba called on Government to use same concern and commitment in securing the release of others still in captivity.

The ECWA President charged Government to put necessary mechanism in place for the Implementation of recommendations of the 2014 National Conference resolutions and charged the three tiers of Government to work together towards actualizing it.

Reverend Panya-Baba said the Church will continue to pray and intercede for the Country to live in Peace with all Godliness.
