The Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA has called on the Federal Government to urgently put in place the necessary mechanism for implementation of the 2014 National Conference following Agitations by youths across the Country.
ECWA President, Reverend Stephen Baba-Panya, who stated this in a statement in Jos added that all the 3 arms of Government should join hands towards actualizing this.
He said the peace, tranquility and stability of the Country was of utmost concern locally and internationally which should not be toyed with.
While condemning the wanton destruction of lives and property in some parts of the Country, the ECWA President appealed for restrain and calm in the face of provocation by people he described as enemies of the Country.
The cleric who saluted the courage, patriotism and heroism of the youths for genuinely standing up for their Constitutionally guaranteed rights and for demonstrating unflinching faith in the Country, expressed hope that the struggle will bring forth the Country of our dreams.
Reverend Baba-Panya who called for investigation into the attack of peaceful protesters, described the looting as an act of criminality.
He called on the President and other Political, Religious and Traditional leaders to come together and work assiduously for the peace, unity and stability of the country, noting that Nigeria is God’s divine creation with a purpose and not an accident of History.
