DG PGF Says Minimum Wage Not Commensurate With Present Day Realities

The Director General of the Progressives Governors Forum, PGF, Dr Salihu Lukman says the minimum wage for workers should not be less than a hundred thousand naira.

This is contained in a statement in Abuja by the Director General of the Progressives Governors Forum, PGF.

The statement expresses regret that various negotiations by leadership of Labour Unions with Government had failed to produce positive results.

The statement further describes the current thirty thousand naira minimum wage of Nigerian workers as an apology with the present economic situation of the Country.

The statement however says review of the minimum wage is subject to availability of funds.
