The Federal Capital Territory Christian Pilgrim’s Welfare Board has taken its sensitization to intending pilgrims for the end of the year pilgrimage to Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State.
Director of the Board, Mr John Dabara-Audu who led management staff of the Board to the Chairman of the Council , Mami Ibrahim-Ijah in his office in Tafa.
noted that the exercise was to enlighten intending pilgrims on the need to embark on pilgrimage for spiritual rejuvenation.
He reiterated the need for individuals in the church to sponsor people who are willing to embark on the spiritual journey.
“The essence of the exercise is not for tourism but to establish your link with the root of faith to attract God’s blessings.
According to the Director, the board had so far taken the sensitisation to the four area councils in the FCT, Abaji, Kwali, Gwagwalada and Kuje.
Responding, the Chairman Tafa Local Government Mami Ibrahim Ijah who listed the challenges that had bedeviled the Country this year which shut down many Government businesses promised to make efforts within his power to support the Board.
Ibrahim-Ijah explained that Government had in the past offered the opportunity to some people to travel for the religious activity because of its spiritual blessings.
“In my capacity, I will try my best to see that a few of those who have not gone on pilgrimage before, get the opportunity to do so.
The Chairman appealed to intending pilgrims to always borrow ideas whenever they go on pilgrimage for the development of the Country .
