The Federal government has procured sixty units of ultras-cold chain equipment.
This is in preparation to receive covid vaccines that required ultra-cold temperature before administration.
The Director, Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr. Faisal Shuaib made this known in Abuja while briefing newsmen on the progress of the COVID Nineteen vaccination in Nigeria.
Dr. Shuaib who said Nigeria has concluded the first phase of the strategic covid nineteen vaccination plan stated that the procurement was part of logistics to ensure proper storage, distribution and accountability of the vaccination.
Dr. Shuaib explained that Nigerians from eighteen years and above including pregnant women and lactating mothers were eligible to be Vaccinated.
In a remark, the country Representative of the World Health Organisation WHO, Walter Kazardi pledged the organisation’s commitment to support Nigerians overcoming the various challenges and advise citizens to always adhere to the covid nineteen protocols to further prevent the spread of the virus.
