Court Orders Gov Nyako To Enter His Defence In A ₦29b Fraud Case

The Federal High Court, in Abuja has ordered a former governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako to enter his defence in a N29 billion fraud case.

In a ruling, Okon Abang, the trial judge, dismissed Mr Nyako’s no-case-submission.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, had urged the court to strike out the no-case submission and compel the defendants to enter into defence.

The anti-graft agency is prosecuting the former governor alongside his son, Abdul-Aziz Nyako; two companies, Sebore Farms and Extension Ltd and Pagado Fortunes Ltd.
