The Chief of Army Staff, Major General Farouk Yahaya wants troops at various theatres of Operations to remain resolute, united and steadfast to sustain the gains in the fight against Insurgency and other criminal activities across the country.
Major General Yahaya made the call at an interdenominational church service for the Nigerian Army Day Celebration in Abuja.
General Yahaya who is the first Army Chief of the Islamic faith to participate in the Interdenominational Church service said there was no division in the military.
He emphasized the need for unity among personnel and other Nigerians to be able to defeat the insurgents and other criminals in the country.
General Yahaya also maintained that with more synergy among security agencies more could be achieved.
In a sermon, the Director Chaplain Services, Protestant, Colonel Islongo Mariga harped on the need for collaboration between Nigerians, political leaders and the military to overcome the challenges in the country.
Special prayers were offered for the country, its leadership, the military and troops.
NADCEL is a yearly observance of the Nigerian Army to celebrate contributions of officers and men to the unity of the country.
