The Centre for Credible Leadership and Citizens Awareness in Coalition with sixty two Civil Society and Non governmental organisations have described the purported social media pictures and Videos on Lekki Massacre as calculated attempt to discredit the Nigerian Army and the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Director General of the Centre for Credible Leadership and Citizens Awareness, Dr Gabriel Nwambu stated this on behalf of the Coalition during a media conference in Abuja.
Dr Nwambu while emphasizing the believe of the Coalition to the sanctity of human lives, explained that analysis on the reports and pictures do not have substantial proof and evidence indicting the military.
He maintained that the steps taken by the president was enough to end the protest.
Dr Nwambu who also linked the protests to foreign and local sponsors, urged the youths to refuse all attempts by some groups to make them return to the streets but embrace dialogue with government for lasting peace.
