Christians have been urged to worship God in truth and holiness.
The Guest Speaker, at the Jubilee Anniversary of the First Baptist Church Nassarawa, Reverend Armstrong Ola-Ajayi made the call while delivering a sermon at the occasion in Nasarawa state.
Taking his reading from Acts of Apostles chapter thirteen with the topic “The Mark of a Living Church at fifty” Reverend Ola-Ajayi charged religious organisations to shun sentiments to move the gospel forward.
He further advised clerics to serve as good role models to their followers to build a great nation.
In an address the Oba Yoruba of Nassarawa Alhaji Bashir Asibatu Yusuf urged political leaders to ensure improved security for all Nigerians.
“In his words ” The political leaders should not be too far from the electorate, because if they are not close they will not know their problems.”
Also, One of the former leaders of the church Mr. Joseph Oloruntoba advised members not to relent in selfless service to God and humanity as this will pave way for peaceful coexistence in the country.
Highlight of the event was prayers for the leadership of the country for God’s direction to enable them pilot the affairs of the country effectively.
