Cleric Wants Leaders To Be More Proactive In Addressing Insecurity

Anglican Bishop of Lafia Diocese in Nasarawa State, Reverend Godwin Robinson has called on leaders at all levels to be more proactive in addressing insecurity for the socio economic well-being of the citizens, peace and unity of the country.

Reverend Godwin Robinson made the call at the end of a three day provincial council meeting in Lafia.

According to the Bishop, the country will be better if leaders can be upright, selfless and put the interest of the citizens above other decisions devoid of corrupt tendencies.

He urged the people to imbibe the spirit of perseverance and keep hope alive believing that God would intervene in the challenges facing the country.

Reverend Godwin Robinson however called on religious leaders to be mindful of their sacred callings and continue to preach peace, love and unity among the diverse ethnic groups in the country.

The provincial Council meeting brought together Anglican Bishops and other clergies from Kaduna, Benue, Nasarawa and the FCT.
