Nigerians have been called upon to remain prayerful and hopeful in God’s ability to help overcome the economic and security challenges of the country.
The Assistant General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Johnson Odesola made the call when he paid a visit to the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello in Lokoja.
Pastor Odesola said prayer is pivotal in resolving the challenges bedevilling the nation, hence the need for consistent prayers for a better and united Nigeria.
He commended Kogi State Government for its security architecture which he stressed had resulted in low crime rate and prayed for more development in view of the abundant mineral resources in the State and Lokoja being the first administrative capital of the nation.
In his remark, Governor Yahaya Bello represented by his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja appreciated the Clergyman for the visit and expressed the commitment of the State Government to promoting religious harmony.
Governor Bello said his administration built and inaugurated a Chapel in the Government House after Twenty-Eight years of its existence for Christians to worship.
He restated his support for Christian activities in Kogi State and solicited more prayers to sustain the peace and security currently being enjoyed in the State.
Highlights of the occasion were prayers for the State and visit to the recently inaugurated chapel in the Government House.
