Leaders at all levels have been enjoined to be resolute and committed to the unity and corporate existence of the country.
The Calabar District Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Nigeria, Cross River State, Reverend Isonguyo Eshiet made the call in a sermon at the end of a three day Convention in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.
Reverend Isonguyo Eshiet said if leaders live up to the dictates of their offices by placing national interest above personal interests and embrace justice and fairness some of the challenges in the country would be reduced.
He also called on religious leaders to be mindful of their calling and desist from dabbling into political issues and continue to preach peace at all times.
Reading from the book of Hebrews chapter one verse seven, Reverend Isonguyo Eshiet who was the Guest Speaker at the convention, reminded Nigerians that God would not judge humanity based on religious, social and other inclinations advised Nigerians to shun nepotism, hatred and greed and receive salvation.
The three day conference featured special prayers for God’s intervention following the spate of insecurity in the State and the Country.
