Nigerians have been charged to continue to pray for leaders in position of authority instead of engaging in negative criticisms.
The Bishop of Kabba Diocese of the Anglican Communion, Right Reverend Steven Akobe gave the charge at the Contemporary Church of Resurrection, during the thanksgiving service of the Provost of College of Education Technical Kabba, Mrs Victoria Jagboro in Kabba.
Bishop Akobe said prayers is essential for leaders to take the right decisions especially with the security challenges confronting the nation.
While speaking on the topic: “Abraham, A Great Intercessor” he also called on the people to pray for the safe return of the school children kidnapped in Zamfara State and wisdom by security agencies in a bid to reacue them.
The Clergyman advised the Provost to continue in her developmental efforts of making the institution a pedestal of knowledge in technical education.
In a remark, the Provost, College of Education Technical Kabba, Doctor Victoria Jagboro said the occasion was to appreciate God for keeping her through her first tenure in office as well as her reappointment for another four years.
While appreciating God for the opportunity given her, Doctor Jagboro also thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for the privilege to serve again promising to justify the confidence reposed in her.
Highlights of the church service was prayers for the nation to overcome its security challenges.
