Cleric Advises Lawyers To Dispense Justice With Fear Of God

Judges in Kogi State have been charged to rise up to thier constitutional duties to dispense justice with the fear of God.

Reverend Paul Frank of the First ECWA Church, Lokoja gave the charge at a special service held to commence the year 2020/2021 legal year in the State.

Reverend Frank said the charge became imperative in view of the challenges confronting the Nation.

He urged them not be dettered by undue interference in the dispensation of justice in certain quarters but fight for the survival of the nation and the common man whose hope lies in the judiciary.

In his remark, the Acting Chief Judge of Kogi State, Justice Henry Olusiyi said the essence of the special service is to seek divine guidance and help from God to do that which is right in the new legal year.

Justice Olusiyi assured of the judiciary’s determination to uphold the tenets of the profession and continue to execute justice with the fear of God.

Highlights of the service was a special prayer offered for the Acting CJ, Judges in the State, members of the Judiciary and the State chapter of the Nigeria Bar Association.
