CJN Wants Acting CJ OF FCT High Court To Uphold Oath Of Office

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad has admonished the newly sworn-in Acting Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, to Uphold his oath of office.

Justice Muhammad stated this at the swearing in ceremony of the Acting Chief Judge, Justice Salisu Garba, at the Supreme Court Complex in Abuja.

Speaking at the inauguration, the CJN called on Justice Salisu Garba, to hold tenaciously the mantle of transparency in carrying out his duties

Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad further passed a vote of confidence on the capacity of FCT High Court judicial officers.

Following the retirement of Justice Ishaq Usman Bello, President Muhammadu Buhari approved the appointment of Justice salisu Garba as Acting Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory.

Justice Garba will be functioning in acting capacity pending the confirmation of his appointment by the Senate as the substantive Chief Judge.
