Civil Servants in the Federal Capital Territory have called on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency review the salary structure of workers to meet the current socio- economic realities.
They made the call, when kapital fm took the microphone to the popular Federal Secretariat to ascertain the turnout of workers after the Easter public holiday.
The workers who thanked the Federal Government for paying salaries on time for workers to celebrate, said reviewing the salaries would go a long way to help cushion the effects of the dwindling economy.
At about 8.15 to 8:30 am this morning, many civil servants were seen alighting from their vehicles, full of life, with excitement to resume work.
Some of the workers that spoke with kapital FM said they enjoyed the holiday with family and friends and were fully prepared to continue to put in their best in their various fields of endeavours.
The Federal Government had last week declared Friday 2nd and Monday 5th as public holidays to mark the Easter celebration.
