The Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre CISLAC has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for signing into law the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020.
The Executive Director CISLAC, Auwal Ibrahim Rafsanjani who gave the commendation while addressing newsmen in Abuja said the bill would help in the fight against corruption.
Mr Rafsanjani who noted that the absence of the repealed legislation had given room for sabotage in the nation’s revenue drive stressed the need for loans sourced to be effectively utilized.
He further urged government to establish policies tools and instruments that would aid the speedy implementation of these provisions.
Mr Rafsanjani who lauded the National Assembly’s efforts in the speedy passage of the Bill, urged both chambers to expedite necessary actions in passing other anti corruption bills before them for onward passage to the president for assent.
