Nigerians have been urged to love one another irrespective of religion, political and ethnic affiliations for the country to attain her greatness.
President, Christian Association of Nigeria, Reverend Samson Ayokunle gave the advice while delivering a sermon to mark Nigeria’s 60th independence anniversary held at the national Christian Center, Abuja.
Reverend Ayokunle who attributed the challenges facing the country to political office holders placing personal interest above national interest said corruption brought the country to its present situation.
He urged leaders at all levels to lead with the fear of God and ensure even distribution of resources for rapid socio economic development of the country.
Reverend Ayokunle stressed the need for those behind killings, banditry and insurgency to have a rethink, love the country and support government’s efforts at bringing peace to every part of the country.
He emphasized the need for the Federal Government to ensure justice, equity and transparency in governance.
The topic of his sermon is” The crucial needs of Nigeria to attain greatness at 60.
