The Founding father of Zambia and former president of the country, Kenneth David Kaunda, is dead.
Report says the 97yr old died at a Military medical facility in the country on today.
According to the report the development has thrown the Southern African nation and indeed Africa into mourning.
Kenneth David Kaunda, also known as KK, was a Zambian politician who served as the first President of Zambia from 1964 to 1991.
Kaunda was the youngest of eight children born to an ordained Church of Scotland missionary and teacher, an immigrant from Malawi.
He was born on 28 April 1924 in Chinsali, Zambia.
