The Minister in charge of First
Baptist Church, Gwagwalada Abuja, Reverend Deji Oyelami has admonished christians to always embrace the power of resurrection of Jesus Christ as a point of contact in their daily challenges.
Reverend Oyelami gave the admonition in his sermon to mark this year’s Easter celebration in Gwagwalada Abuja.
Reading from the book of Mathew chapter 28 verse 1 to 3, the Baptist Cleric said only the power of resurrection of Jesus Christ could overcome whatever difficulties Christians may be facing in life.
He therefore enjoined them to be steadfast in faith and prayers to be partakers of God’s blessings through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Reverend Oyelami who described Easter as a very significant season in christendom urged them to shun acts that could deny them salvation which the death of Jesus symbolised.
According to him, sin will make nonsense of the celebration in the life of those who are yet to give their lives to God.
While calling on christians to mark the season in sober reflection, Reverend Oyelami stressed the need for them to rededicate their lives to the service of God and humanity.
The Cleric equally admonished them to use the occasion to show love to their neighbours and the less privileged as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
