The Nigeria Christain Pilgrim Commission, NCPC says arrangements have been concluded for the airlifting of Intending Christian Pilgrims to Jordan.
The Executive Secretary of NCPC, Reverend Yakubu Pam stated this while briefing news men in Abuja on his one year in office.
Reverend Yakubu Pam who said authorities in both countries had perfected plans for hitch free exercise said Jordan was picked because it is one of the pilgrim destination with the highest number of Holy sites.
While acknowledging the negative impact of Covid 19 pandemic on the spiritual exercise, Rev Pam explained that despite the challenges, the commission was committed to carrying out sensitisation campaigns on the need for religious leaders and wealthy individuals to sponsor Christains yearning for spiritual growth in the Holy Land.
He assured that necessary arrangements had been made to check absondment of pilgrims in Jordan.
On agitations across the country, the NCPC Boss said many initiatives and dialogues had been carried out in some states to ensure peaceful coexistence and National Unity
Reverend Yakubu Pam however solicited support of the Media on the Federal Government’s efforts to address the spate of insecurity and put the country back on track.
