Armed Forces Solicits More Synergy To Apprehend More Criminals

The Nigerian Armed Forces has solicited more credible information and collaboration from Nigerians to enable troops at various theatres of operation apprehend more bandits collaborators towards ending insecurity in the country.

The Coordinator Defence Media Operations Defence Headquarters, Major General John Enenche made the call during the weekly media briefing in Abuja.

General Enenche who said the military was achieving Successes in its operations through adequate information, emphasized that with more credible Information from the public, troops would be able to apprehend other bandits collaborators as well as final clearance of bandits and other criminals.

According to him, the military had also adopted different operational strategies aimed at addressing all the security challenges in the country.

General Enenche stated that troops of operation Hadarin Daji and the air component of operation Thunder Strike eliminated some bandits, arrested some and rescued kidnapped victims in the North West Zone.

He said troops of operation Safe Haven and Whirl Stroke in the North Central zone conducted raids at identified criminals hideouts, arrested some suspects and recovered arms and ammunition.

General Enenche added that troops also fostered several security meetings on farmers/herders clashes, issues about kidnapping and peace talks in Plateau,Kaduna, Nasarawa and Benue states.

In the South South zone, the Coordinator pointed out that troops of operation Delta Safe and its subsidiary operations destroyed illegal refining sites, intercepted wooden boats with suspected petroleum products as well as over three hundred bags of foreign rice

General Enenche also commended troops of operation Lafiya Dole and its subsidiary operation Fire Ball for the feat recorded in the killing of some terrorists, foiling of attaks and apprehension of IED maker and recovery of arms and ammunition.
