Armed Forces Solicits Information From Nigs For Prompt Response

The Nigerian Armed Forces has again appealed to the public to provide vital information about suspicious movement of individuals and dangerous materials by criminals for prompt response by troops at various theatres of Operation.

The Coordinator Defence Media Operations Defence Headquarters, Major General John Enenche made the appeal at the weekly media briefing in Abuja.

General Enenche noted that information was key in all military Operations.

The Coordinator who explained that troops of Operation Lafiya Dole neutralized several Boko Haram terrorists, destroyed their gun trucks and other weapons, said the new subsidiary and existing Operations had achieved more successes.

He appealed to the public to provide useful information that would enable troops up their game.

General Enenche pointed out that troops of Operation Delta Safe and its subsidiary operations in the South South zone recovered thousands of stolen petroleum products, arrested two suspects, while gun boat of forward Operating base Ibaka intercepted and arrested a large wooden boat with one thousand one hundred and eighty four bags of 25kg fertilizer and two suspects.

He urged members of the public to report criminals with large quantities of fertilizer which he said were used for the production of explosive devices.

General Enenche added that troops of operation Hadarin Daji in the North West, Operations Whirl Stroke and Safe Haven in the North Central rescued kidnapped victims arrested four cultists eliminated over eighty bandits and recovered some rustled livestock.
