Armed Forces discover illegal refining sites, eliminate bandits in various opperations.

Over four hundred thousand litres of illegally refined products have been recovered and several armed bandits and terrorists killed by troops of the Nigerian Military during various Operations across the country.

The Coordinator, Defence Media Operations Defence Headquarters Major General John Enenche stated this at the weekly media briefing in Abuja.
General Enenche who said the various Operations recorded tremendous success explained that in the South South region, the Maritime Component of operation Delta Safe, the Nigerian Navy Ship Pathfinder patrol team discovered illegal refining site with 300,000 litres of illegally refined Automative Gas Oil,AGO and a wooden boat with 3.14 barrels of stolen crude oil.

He also stated that the Navy Pathfinder ship inconjunction with Forward Operating base Bonny discovered and dismantled an illegal refining site at Bille Creek with 60,000 litres of AGO and 125.7 barrels of suspected crude oil while the Nigerian Navy Ship Delta and Forward Operating base ESCRAVOS intercepted some wooden boats with 40,000 litres of suspected AGO.

In the North West region, the Coordinator said that troops of Operation Sahel Sanity under Operation Hadarin Daji eliminated 17 armed bandits in Jibia, Katsina state while the Air Component of operation Hadarin Daji killed several bandits in Kagara forest in Zamfara state, arrested some of the bandits and recovered arms and ammunition.

General Enenche also stressed that the Armed Forces carried out several Civil-Military Cooperation through Operation Whirl Stroke and Safe Corridor by renovating a block of 5 Classrooms as well as boreholes in Guma and Kpasho villages in Benue as well as Iregwe and Gagaule in Bassa Plateau state.

He also added that the troops also rescued 32 kidnapped victims in Benue after an intelligence report and recovered arms and ammunition.

In the North East, the Coordinator explained that troops continued the offensives against Boko Haram and the ISLAMIC State of West Africa Province, ISWAP terrorists with the elimination of several of the terrorists, destruction of their structures and equipment.
