A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), former Dean of Law, University of Jos, Professor Dakas Clement Dakas, says on going registration and Revalidation of the All Progressives Congress, APC, will consolidate the present administration’s agenda for holistic transformation and sustainable democracy in the country.
Professor Dakas made this known after revalidating his membership of the party at his ward in Katul, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State,
He stressed that the overwhelming number of technocrats and grassroots politicans registering and revalidating their membership with APC would entrench democracy.
The former University Don, who had previously served as the Attorney-General of Plateau State noted that the exercise had given opportunity to new members from opposition political parties to join the ruling APC.
He added that the registration of new members had been encouraging since the commencement of the exercise across the nation.
Professor Dakas who appreciated the massive turnout of credible men, women and youths, noted that this development would further fortify the party’s chances of making a huge impact during the forthcoming general elections in the country.
On his rumoured gubernatorial ambition in Plateau State, Prof Dakas explained that as an experienced lawyer it was not yet time for him to make such proclamation as restrictions on political campaigns had not been lifted.
Professor Dakas urged Nigerians to take ample opportunity of the registration to revalidate their membership of the party so as to join hands with others on the platform to move the nation forward.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the Stakeholders Forum, Sehenshak Dafohol and Councillor representing Jipal Ward, Hon. Emmanuel Daniel, both described the ongoing registration and revalidation as a huge success.
