Anglican Primate Tasks Leaders On Job Creation, Poverty Alleviation

The Primate Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba has called on political office holders to shun greed and place national interest above personal ambition for peace, unity and national development.
Addressing the congregation during a special service to mark the 60th Independence anniversary at the Cathedral Church of Advent Life Camp Abuja, Archbishop Ndukuba said the country’s founding fathers built a solid foundation which subsequent administrations failed to build upon.
He commended the present administration’s giant strides in addressing economic and the fight against Corruption calling on elected officials to be patriotic and alleviate the plight of ordinary citizens.
The Anglican Primate however stressed the need for the Federal Government to focus more on industrialization, job creation and ensure even distribution of resources.
The 60th independence day service featured special prayers for leaders at all levels and Divine intervention to the challenges in the country.
