The Anglican Bishop of Ibadan Diocese, Most Revered Joseph Akinfenwa has called on leaders to forsake sin and make the welfare of the citizenry a priority. Addressing the closing of this year’s Abuja Diocesan synod at Saint James Anglican Church Asokoro, Most Reverend Akinfenwa expressed concern over the level of corruption at all levels of governance and urged those in leadership positions to ensure even distribution of resources for national development. Most Reverend Akinfenwa however appealed to Nigerians not to allow the present situation affect their love for the country.
In a remark, Primate Church of Nigeria, Archbishop Henry Ndukuba stressed the need for Nigerians to tolerate one another, promote peaceful co existence and build on the foundation laid down by the nation’s founding fathers
The theme for the first session of the eleventh synod of Abuja Diocese is Building on the sure foundation.
