Anambra Govt Mourns Fmr Traditional Ruler Of Mkpunando

The Anambra State Government has received with shock the news of the death of Chief Alexander Edozieuno, the former traditional ruler of Mkpunando community in Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area.

A statement signed by the state Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment Mr. Don Adinuba says the monarch was killed yesterday with his driver, Chukwuemeka while driving on Ezu Bridge, Otuocha, Anambra East LGA,

According to the statement Governor Willie Obiano has directed the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Tony Olofu,to fish out those behind the murder.

It describes as disheartening the way Chief Edozieuno died when crime has been reduced to the lowest level in the State.

The statement regrets that there were still elements who have little regard for human life.

The statement extends condolences of the people and Government of Anambra State to the Edozieuno family, the Mkpunando community, friends, relatives and associates of Chief Edozieuno.

It prays Chief Edozieuno’s soul rests in peace.
