The Management of Abuja Markets have pledged commitment to sustain the fight against COVID-19 Pandemic by ensuring the “No mask, No Entry policy” in line with NCDC safety protocol.
Managing Director Abuja Market Management Limited, AMML, Mr Ibrahim Uzaibat gave the assurance during the presentation of Waste bins and other PPE’s donated by a private firm to Wuse Market in Abuja.
The AMML Boss maintained that it is the duty of Market Managers to make sure traders and buyers in the market comply with the hand washing and face mask rudiments .
Mr Uzaibat who commended the cleaning company for the donation, noted that the items would go a long way to compliment the Federal Governments efforts in curtailing the spread of the virus.
Earlier, the Managing Director of the Cleaning Company, Mr Laurie Manaygin, described Wuse Market as the cleanest and better organized market in West Africa, and pledged his company’s willingness to continue to support the market towards sustaining its cleanliness for the attainment of having a COVID-19 free Markets in the FCT.
On his part, Chairman of Wuse Market Traders Association, Mr Okorie Samuel pointed out that the Authority of the Market under his leadership, would strictly enforce the COVID-19 guidelines until Abuja is COVID free.
Ten sets of waste bins and ten hand washing buckets were handed over to the Chairman Wuse Market Traders Association.
