The Airlift of the 2019/ 2020 Christian Pilgrims from Nigeria will commence this Month.
Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Welfare Commission, Reverend Yakubu Pam stated this at the commencement of the screening of intending Pilgrims from Plateau State in Jos.
Reverend Pam said this would be the first time for Pilgrims to be airlifted to the Holy Land from the Jos Airport.
He said proper orientation would be carried out for intending Pilgrims, as anyone found breaking Nigerian laws or that of the host country would not be spared, hence the need for all to attend the orientation.
The Executive Secretary commended Plateau State Government for always sponsoring the highest number of Pilgrims in the country.
He called on intending Pilgrims to consider themselves lucky, as many Nigerians crave for the opportunity to visit the Holy Land.
Reverend Pam who warned against Abscondment urged them to bear in mind the purpose for the visit which is to serve God, pray for the Nation as well as see places they hitherto only read in the Bible.
Secretary of the State Christian Welfare Board, Reverend Father George Gorap explained that the Pilgrims were the 2019 and 2020 set who couldn’t travel because of the COVID 19 Pandemic.
While applauding Reverend Yakubu Pam for turning the fortunes of the Commission, Reverend Father Gorap assured that adequate arrangements were been made to ensure a hitch free exercise.
