The Africa Democratic Congress Diaspora Network has condemned in totality the Lekki killings in Lagos state during the Endsars protest by Nigerian youths.

This is contained in a communique signed by the five Continental Chairmen of the ADC Diaspora Network and made available to newsmen in Abuja.

It states that no civil society can tolerate such inhuman acts of violence.

“We consider it absolutely necessary and patriotic to speak out against all the killings of innocent Nigerian civilians and peaceful protesters.

The communique stresses that the youths have the legitimate right to fight for good governance

“The youths rightly expressed their frustrations, disappointments and hopelessness in the way the Country had been mismanaged over the years.

It also states that lack of basic amenities and infrastructure like roads, potable water and constant power supply has eluded Nigerians to mention but a few.

“We at ADC-DN Worldwide firmly stand with the Nigerian youth movement in this very desperate fight to better their future.
It recommends a national referendum to create a platform of trust, truth and Reconciliation, to give hope to Nigerian youths.

“We can do better. We can make a difference before it’s too late, Let’s join hands with a different fresh new perspective and a new beginning with our great minds as Nigerians”

It adds that Nigerians are special people with great skills and abilities globally hence it is time to turn this train around on its tracks to a new positive direction and give our people a future we know we all deserve.
