7 Persons Dead As Military Aircraft Crashes In Abuja

The Nigerian Airforce has confirmed that a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Beechcraft KingAir B350i aircraft crashed while returning to the Abuja Airport after reporting engine failure enroute Minna.

This is contained in a statement by the Director Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Airforce, Air Vice Marshal Ibikunle Daramola in Abuja.

The statement notes that first responders are at the scene and clarifies that Sadly, all seven personnel on board died in the crash.

It explains that the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Oladayo Amao, has ordered an immediate investigation into the incident.

The statement, while urging the general public to remain calm and await the outcome of investigation, says the CAS, on behalf of all NAF personnel, commiserates with the families of the deceased.
