4 People Confirmed Dead In Gwagwalada Lootings

Four people have been confirmed dead as a result of a stampede while looting a warehouse in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT yesterday.
The Head of Accident and Casualties, University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Doctor Sani Samuel confirmed that they received one corpse while two persons died while receiving medical attention.
Doctor Sani who further said six people are currently undergoing treatment in the hospital explained that the victims sustained various injuries as a result of the stampede when people were scampering to loot items in the warehouse.
Similarly, a medical personnel of a private hospital in the area, Bisola Badmus said three people were treated and one person died in the hospital shortly after sustaining injuries in the stampede.
One of the victims who pleaded anonymity narrated that she managed to survive after she was trampled upon by the crowd and sustained injuries on her legs and hands.
Earlier, security operatives dispatched residents who allegedly attempted to break into the Federal Capital Territory Agricultural Development Project opposite Gwagwalada market.
