Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for making the Gubernortorial and State House of Assembly elections seamless and much more easier.
The Governor said this after casting his vote along with his wife at the Mustapha Alkali Polling Unit, in Kontagora local government council of the state.
Alh Bello said it has never been this easier in previous elections which he described as seamless with a good turnout.
He however commended the electorates for coming out to exercise their franchise while advising them to continue to be calm and orderly to achieve the desired objective.
Also speaking member representing Kontagora, Mariga, Mashegu, and Wushishi federal constituency, Abdullahi Idris Garba commended the process saying there is an improvement in the electoral process which should be supported by all.
Earlier, the Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Niger state Command Ahmed Mohammed Dandare said they deployed one thousand five hundred personnel to ensure hitch free polls in the state.
While the Commissioner of Police in charge of the state, Ogundele Ayodeji explained that a total of six thousand five hundred and five officers and men were deployed to provide tight security for successful elections across the twenty five local government councils.
Reports across the twenty five local government councils of Niger state revealed that elections were conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner.
