Presidential Candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, has condemned the currency and fuel shortages across the country.
This is contained in a statement signed by the spokesperson of the Presidential Campaign Council, Onyinye Gandhi-Chukwunyere in Abuja.
The statement describes as unnecessary the hardship imposed on Nigerians as a result of the cash shortage and fuel scarcity which has also grounded socio-economic activities across the country.
“This government has precipitated a crisis clearly targeted at deepening the suffering of the Nigerian people whose welfare and security should ordinarily be its priority.” It stresses.
It expresses displeasure over the inability of Nigerians to have access to their hard earned savings over the bank counters and Automated Teller Machines, ATMs, all over the country.
“Our people can not access their savings to buy food and meet other necessities as starvation stares them in the face”.
It adds that the AAC is deeply troubled and demands an immediate resolution of the currency and fuel crises.
