The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC is to commence a seven day Special Patrol to check the excesses of Road users in FCT.
FCT FRSC Sector commander, Mr Oga Ochi who stated this while speaking with News Men in Abuja said the territory was witnessing increasing number of vehicles daily with flagrant disobedience to traffic rules.
According to the sector commander, the special patrol will focus on critical offences like indiscriminate parking, route violation, overloading and over speeding.
He emphasized that FRSC was aware of political activities hence more personnel have been deployed to all the routes leading to party secretariats and Venues of political rallies.
While speaking on the just concluded 2022 end of the year operation, Mr Ochi said 281 traffic offenders were apprehended for various offences.
He noted that Mobile courts held four sessions with 90 offenders prosecuted including four drivers that were arrested under the influence of alcohol.
Mr Oga Ochi reiterated the commitment of FRSC towards making the road safer in 2023.
