CNID Seeks Support To Curb Illicit Financial Flow

Nigerians and other stakeholders in the financial sector have been urged to support the monetary policy of the present administration to curb corruption and illicit financial outflow.

The convener of a group, Coalition of National Interest Defenders, Mr Tochukwu Ohazuruike who gave the advice at a news briefing in Abuja said it was important for Nigerians to embrace policies that would strengthen the nation’s currency and economy.

Mr Ohazuruike stressed that redesigning of some currency denominations which was backed by president Muhammadu Buhari shut the iron door against various acts of corruption, money laundering,vote buying, election rigging,terrorism, banditry, kidnapping amongst others.

He also appealed to Nigerians to collect their PVCs and participate in the forth coming elections.
