Life expectancy in Nigeria which was about forty- five percent last year has dropped to forty-three percent due to poor hygiene and sanitation.
The National Coordinator of a Non – Governmental Organisation, Clean up Nigeria, Prince Ene Baba-Owoh stated this at the fifth presentation of the twenty – twenty two Environmental report.
Prince Ene Baba- Owoh said that the study reveals an increase in poor hygiene and sanitation related diseases.
According to him, the study shows that Akwa-Ibom is the cleanest state followed by Ebonyi State, while Abuja is rated the cleanest City in the Country.
