It states that the speaker led a delegation of principal officers from the House to the Presidential Villa immediately after Tuesday’s plenary.

According to the statement, the speaker highlighted the reason for the visit, saying, “After series of engagements with ASUU and with people on the executive side, we’ve been able to come to some kind of decisions and recommendations to be made to Mr. President for his approval.

According to the statement, the House of Representatives decided to step in at that point four weeks ago and had series of meetings that lasted hours and was able to get both sides to shift ground to an extent.

It states, that Mr. President, as usual, has a very good listening ear, and accepted the report the House presented to him.

According to the statement, the Speaker has another meeting on Thursday with Mr. President for his final decision.

It adds that the President asked a couple of questions, in some grey areas which was clarified, and he accepted the reports but wanted a couple of days to go through it.
