The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) has called on Nigerians to be patriotic and prayerful as the Nation marks her 62nd Independence anniversary.
A statement signed by the National Chairman of the Party, Yusuf Mamman Dantalle in Abuja says despite numerous setbacks, the resilience of citizens has united the nation.
“It is time for national rebirth and renewal, It is time to chart a new course for Nigeria and redirect the ship of the state from its perilous path” Mamnan Dantalle added.
It therefore calls for patriotism and unity of purpose to build a strong, virile, progressive and egalitarian democratic society the masses will be proud of.
The statement urges Nigerians to participate in the ongoing electoral process that will redefine the destiny of the nation.
“Your vote is your power to build a prosperous and decent society adding that national challenges are surmountable as the interest of Nigeria should be put first.
Also the Presidential Candidate of the Party, Princess Chichi Ojei in her independence message calls on Nigerians to keep hope alive by endeavouring to exercise their civic rights by voting on election days and ensuring that each and every vote counts.
“The act of voting is not merely a civic duty; it’s our inalienable right as free citizens” Ojei added.
“As Nigerians, we are the pride of Africa. We cannot be less. We have to overcome fear, banish doubts, and overcome the political and economic conditions that degrade and dehumanize us”
