Africa Trade Consortium Moves To Strengthen Trade Relations

Over 1000 participants from the public and private sectors are to converge on Abuja for the Africa Trade Consortium, ATC, forum aimed at promoting investments and Trade Relations within the continent and beyond.

In a statement in Abuja, the Convener of ATC, Alwalled Kabir Yusuf explains that the maiden edition of the forum in Africa will solve the bottle necks experienced at the borders and daily trade movement in the continent while importing and exporting Goods.

According to him, the forum will provide a suitable framework and guidance for the continent to meet the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and the African Union 2063 Agenda on inclusive growth.

He explains that when African countries trade within themselves they exchange more manufactured and processed goods, have more knowledge transfer, and create more value.

He further explains that the Africa trade consortium has keyed into the the African Continental free trade Agreement, AfCFTA, to enable countries to break into new African markets.
