FCT : Over 700 Residents Of Lugbe Benefit From A Free Medical Outreach

Wealthy individuals have been urged to always show love by alleviating the plight of the vulnerable in the society.

The founder of a charitable organisation, Mr Oni Kayode stated this during a free medical outreach to celebrate this year’s Valentines’s day in Lugbe, a satellite town in the FCT.

Mr Oni said the present economic situation in the country had made it difficult for many Nigerians to attend to their health challenges hence the need for charitable organizations to go to rural areas to assist the less privileged.

While acknowledging the fact that government alone could not shoulder the responsibility of providing adequate health services to Nigerians, Mr Kayode said the organisation would continue to embark on people oriented programs to address health challenges in rural areas.

He stressed that the program would be extended to other states to meet the health care needs of other Nigerians..

Some beneficiaries of the medical outreach, Mr Jason Gongul and Miss Joy Emmanuel said the program helped them to know their health status such as the sugar level and blood pressure as well as ways to address other health problems.

They however appealed to Government at all levels to resuscitate the primary health care system in the country.

Over 700 residents benefitted from the outreach.
